Patients needing in-home health care in the Wichita area may need to closely check who they’re calling for services.
Companies with similar names will begin competing in the area after an Oklahoma medical provider bought out Wichita’s Mobile Medical.
Physician Housecalls, a medical provider specializing in home-based primary care medicine for chronically ill and elderly patients, has acquired Mobile Medical. The combined company will now be the largest house call provider in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Physician Housecalls doesn’t set out to recruit military veterans specifically, said Hank Ross, chief executive officer. But what some people may see as challenging work doesn’t seem that difficult to medical staff members who have previously given care on a battlefield.
