Chickasha Today – November 03, 2015

Physician Housecalls, LLC (PHC) has acquired Moore Geriatrics, establishing itself as the largest provider of in-home physician services in Oklahoma. The acquisition will expand the capacity of Physician Housecalls, LLC to serve the growing number of homebound patients who suffer from multiple chronic disease problems.

“We are excited about this opportunity and the future of in-house physician services,” said Chickasha’s Hank Ross, majority owner of Physician Housecalls, LLC. “We are part of the health care solution as we provide critical primary care services to homebound patients who otherwise would not get consistent care or any care at all.”

This acquisition broadens the geographical area where these services are available in Oklahoma and allows more people to be served. “Physician Housecalls will be able to provide this service in the Oklahoma City metro and 25 counties across the state,” said Becky Carter, owner of Moore Geriatrics.

Recent studies show dramatic cost savings can be achieved in serving patients suffering with multiple chronic diseases in their home, assisted living center or other home setting. A study in the Journal of American Geriatrics Society shows home-based care saved an average of $8,477 per patient over two years.

“Health care today is trending toward in-home physician services. This is just the start of our vision for delivering these services in Oklahoma,” said Andrea Fairbanks, co-owner of Physician Housecalls..
